On June 19, 2004, Mayor Susan Fennell formally announced the formation of a dynamic new volunteer group who's sole purpose is to promote community participation in fun events within Brampton.

The Community Spirit Team has this simple goal; to communicate, engage, involve, and invite all the citizens (YOU!) of this great city to come out and participate! Brampton is the greatest people City in Canada and 2004 marks the year we begin to tap into that energy and success as we move forward with more awareness of what this great City has to offer, particularly in our DOWNTOWN!
