August 21 - Thursday 7:00 p.m. Everythings Coming Up Roses The City Of Brampton Concert Band With Special Guests The Pipes And Drums Of The Lorne Scots - Our combined groups will present a wonderfully varied evening of music for your ears. Sit back and enjoy band selections from our “Marching Down Main Street” CD, a euphonium feature solo, traditional pop favourites, new massed Band arrangements and classic pieces for Pipes and Drums.
We will also take time to celebrate Brampton's international recognition as The Flower City of Canada. The Ontario Horticultural Society chose Brampton as the host of this years annual conference, which takes place at The Sheridan College Institute from August 22nd through 24th. We invite attendees of the conference to drop by and take in the evenings entertainment amongst the beautiful flowers and trees of Gage Park. Audience members will also have a chance to win a Concert Band CD and a copy of the acclaimed Dale O'Hara book “Acres of Glass: The Story of the Dale Estate and How Brampton Became “The Flower Town of Canada”.
The Pipes and Drums of the Lorne Scots, currently under the direction of Drum Major Iain McGibbon, CD and Pipe Major Kevin Cranley, appear by kind permission of LCol. T. Orange, CD.
