Michael Kaeshammer
“...long been acknowledged as Canada's boogie woogie king.” – Metro Canada “...a pianist hitting his stride as a vocalist, in the same stylistic ballpark as, say, a John Pizzarelli or a Michael Bublé.” – Calgary Herald After studying classical piano for seven years, a 13-year-old Kaeshammer discovered boogie-woogie. In three years, the teen wunderkind was playing boogie-woogie piano in clubs, concerts, and festivals all over Germany. He attracted attention almost immediately after the family moved to the west coast of Canada, turning heads at performances at blues and jazz festivals during the summer of 1996. Now a consummate entertainer, with a droll but quick-witted onstage banter, Michael continues to surprise audiences and inspire awe with his elaborate arrangements and improvisations.
