The funds at this inaugural event will be focused this year to: Globally - funds for the Countries ravaged by the Tsunami
Locally – a non perishable food item or toy for our Salvation Army

Apr. 22 - Apr. 23 "Gimme 5 On Earth Day" BRAMPTON- On Earth Day, Brampton Mayor Susan Fennell is asking everyone in Brampton to give five minutes of their time to clean up any area near where they work or live.
“This is a great example of how one person can make a difference in our community,” said Mayor Fennell. “There are 400,000 Brampton residents. If everyone gives five minutes, that's two million minutes of improving our environment on Earth Day, Friday April 22.” People across Brampton are invited to participate in April Spring Clean-Up events, including:
- Friday, April 22-Earth Day. Gimme 5 across Brampton. All day.
- Saturday, April 23-A free barbecue in Gage Park featuring vocalist Toni Anderson. Noon to 2 p.m.
- Saturday, April 23-Cleanup at Donald M. Gordon Chinguacousy Park beginning at 10 a.m. Barbecue to follow at noon.
- Saturday, April 23-Cleanup of Dixie-Sandalwood Park and Chris Gibson Park hosted by Tim Hortons. Starts at 10 a.m.
