The Evil That Men Do
Did Shakespeare inspire the assassination of Abraham Lincoln? Six months before Lincoln's death, Edwin, Junius, and John Wilkes Booth, the reigning family of American theatre, put their differences aside to perform onstage together, for the first and only time in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. In the audience is Booths' greatest admirer, Abraham Lincoln. And with him is Alan Pinkerton of Secret Service fame, bent on the arrest of John Wilkes Booth, Assassin In Utero. In this compelling and insightful historical-drama, co-authors Derek Dorey and Gerald Hess take you backstage and onstage with the Booths...a family of stars whose light was lost in the shadow of one man's infamy.

Canada Jacks
Based on the book "The Province of Calgary" by Lee Larson, "Canada Jacks" closes the festival as it opened; on a comedic note. One American's search for the Canadian Grail ends in a bar. Jack is a proud American who pours the drinks in a Canadian theme bar located in an American border town. It's a place where Canadians can get a taste of home, Americans can gain a deeper appreciation of their northern ''neighbours'' and where Jack can find a way of life for himself. Facing the imminent closure of his bar...his Canadian dream...Jack is forced to reconcile his love for Canada, and his desire to continue exploring that attraction, with the reality of losing his establishment which is his strongest link to it. Don't miss this hilarious one-man play that gives an American perspective on Canada and Canadians.
