New Years Eve Celebrations Welcome in 2005 with a bang as the City of Brampton once again presents its annual New Year's Eve festivities, complete with skating, live entertainment and fireworks. On Friday, Dec. 31, Gage Park will offer something for the entire family to enjoy during the countdown to a brand new year. The park's beautiful outdoor skating rink will be open and there will also be free marshmallow roasting for the kids at fire pits located throughout the park. Live entertainment will be provided, including fire-eaters and stilt walkers. For those with young children who cannot stay up late to welcome in the New Year, the City will be offering two fireworks displays at 9 p.m. and midnight.
