On Saturday, February 12, 8 pm at Heritage Theatre, the Brampton Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Robert Raines presents the second annual romantic favourite "BE MY VALENTINE 2". This celebration of cupid's arrow features television/radio personality VALERIE GIBSON reading captivating love poems and MERRY-ANNE HUTTON singing world famous love songs. Music for this fabulous evening of entertainment includes a BSO performance of Merry Wives of Windsor Overture, Young Prince and Princess from Scheherazade, the immortal Tschaikowsky - Eugene Onegin Waltz, Mood Indigo, and a Beatles Finale. Merry-Anne Hutton sings endearing favourites from KISS ME KATE, LA BOHEME, and George Gershwin's ever-popular SOMEONE TO WATCH OVER ME. Once again, the festivities will include the "Romantic Couple of the Year" with a special gift presentation.

Friday Folk Night: Last Chance Audition Showcase
Brampton Folk Festival Last Chance Audition Showcase. Get a preview of June 18th's Brampton Folk Festival, as 10 performers each perform 15 minute sets to vie for the last mainstage spot in this year's lineup. It's like Canadian Idol, except these talented artists write their own songs and play their own instruments. You'll hear a variety of styles from rising stars and veteran performers. This 4 hour concert is great value, and helps support our free festival. Note that this concert is held on a Saturday evening from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m.
