"Together Again"
The paintings of Valerie and Simon MacDonald. For the first and only time, the husband and wife team will be exhibiting more than 60 pieces of their art in oils, acrylics, watercolours and oil pastels. Scenes from Banff National Park, Grand Manan and St. Miguel de Allende as well as works from the family collection which have not been exhibited before. Valerie died of breast cancer in September 2004. In her memory, 30% of all revenue from the show will be donated in equal shares to William Osler Health Centre ICU, Canadian Blood Services and the Canadian Cancer Society.

Canada Day Celebrations
There will be plenty of fun for the entire family at Donald M. Gordon Chinguacousy Park from 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. including: midway rides and games; a giant Canada Day cake; live music and entertainment as well as many other events. The celebration wraps up with a spectacular fireworks show set to music. Parking is $5 inside Chinguacousy Park, however space is limited. Brampton Transit will be providing free shuttle services to the park departing at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. from Shopper's World, Trinity Common and the Downtown Terminal. Shuttle services will also be available after the festivities at 10:45 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. to these same terminals. In addition Brampton Transit will also provide statutory holiday service, from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on 12 main routes. For free shuttle information call Brampton Transit at 905-874-2999.

Carabram
Visitors from across the globe will be arriving in Brampton this weekend, as Carabram, the City's multicultural festival returns for another year. For more than 20 years, Carabram has given visitors the chance to tour the world, without boarding a plane. With 11 pavilions representing nations from all corners of the globe, Carabram is a cultural experience like no other. Last year more than 60,000 people attended the event and this year is sure to be bigger than ever. Each pavilion features food and entertainment native to the region and with a free shuttle bus between pavilions, it makes it easy to get a taste of each. Brampton Transit will be providing free transportation between pavilions with a Carabram passport.

Fifth Dave Morrison Memorial International Soccer Classic to be held in Brampton on July 30 and 31, 2005. Our previous name Pine & Rose was changed in order to recognize all the work that Dave Morrison did for soccer in our community for well over 25 years. A highly recognized tournament, in the past we have welcomed international teams from Nigeria, Mexico and Trinidad. A highlight starting this year is that all age groups will have assistant referees for their games.
