Sep. 8 - Sep. 9 Smokin' Calendar Nights Every year, members of Brampton's Fire and Emergency Services launch their upcoming calendar with an evening of fun and friendly competition to select which firefighters will be included in next year's calendar. All proceeds from the evening will be donated to charity.
Last year, proceeds of Brampton Fire and Emergency Services Smokin' Calendar Nights went to: Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Peel, the Lung Association of Peel, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, the Brampton Guardian Santa Claus Fund and Heart Lake Rotary charities.

The Claireville Reservoir cleanup is a great activity for people of all ages, students fulfilling their volunteer requirements or local residents looking to be proactive in their community.
This event is being delivered locally by the Claireville Community Stewardship Project a partnership of the Friends of Claireville and Toronto and Region Conservation.
Latex gloves and waste bags will be provided. Cleanup will take place rain or shine, so please dress accordingly.

September 17 - Sunday 8am - noon Terry Fox Marathon of Hope The Terry Fox Run is a family-oriented, fun-filled day that welcomes all members of the community. The event is non-competitive and participants can walk, run, bike or roller blade. At the finish line, participants will receive a certificate to commemorate their efforts. As well, there will be Terry Fox t-shirts on sale, a silent auction, and children can have their faces painted. Participating in the Terry Fox Run gives Canadians a chance to celebrate the spirit and courage of Terry Fox, a Canadian hero, while contributing to the dream of finding a cure for cancer.
